| 莫名其妙的一個獎 其實我覺得我可以從head of school 手上拿到這個award 純粹是因為這個award committee 的member 不懂分別asian 之故!! 我非常之肯定這個獎是屬於我groupmate 的!! award ceremony 之後我曾經反映過可能頒錯獎的情況, 可惜因為award committee member 是保密的緣故讓我 "投訴" 無門, 誰人nominate 我, 誰人有份投票贊成至今都無法查考!! 會上重演關心妍囉錯獎事件!! 由於另一得獎者的thesis topic 已announce (大家的thesis topic 都是unique 的), 所以大會司儀便把他的 last name 省略了, 誰不知一個非常自負的人和真正的得獎者在此刻同時間步入會場 (雙雙遲到!!), 聽到了自己的first name, 真正的得獎者找到了自己的座位坐下了, 自負的人則快步走上台, 跟head of school 握手, 正當大家都看得目定口呆, 大會的攝影司打算替 "得獎者" 拍照留念之際, 大會的司儀爆出一句 "NO, not you!! the other Chris!!" 笑到台上台下都肚痛!!  | | |

Enoch Poon - Robot Violin Player (Simulation and Control System Design for a Robotic Violin Bowing Arm) This thesis describes the simulation and control system design for a torque-controlled robotic violin bowing arm. It consists of three major components, namely the bowing simulation, control system design and verification of results. The bowing simulation imitates the bowing movement of a human being. A revised bang-bang algorithm was used to compute the bow trajectories with linking trajectories to smooth the joint velocities and torques required between notes. The robot arm requires torques to command joint movement rather than position based control. The virtual model control (VMC) method was used to generate joint torques from bow positions and velocity trajectories. VMC uses a virtual spring and a virtual damper to work out the forces required in the system. The virtual torques are calculated using the transpose of the Jacobian matrix for the arm. These torques have been verified using both a forward dynamics model and a detailed Simulink simulation. This model was converted to C which is run on the RoBoard single board computer to control the mechanical arm. The time and the memory performance of the system will be analysed in the following weeks with the actual robot arm being run in real time. Using the results gathered, further evaluation of the effectiveness and suggestion on possible improvements can be made.

vacation work students working "hard" ... ... ... 其實係有一日大家係寫字樓坐到好悶, 咁就無無聊聊咁出左去 T301 影相留念, 呢個tank 大有名堂架, 如果有leak 既話, brisbane 大部份既人都會死 XD


下年既thesis, 俾你地睇下toyota 係呢幾年做左d 乜啦!!
呢個係university of adelaide 上年既作品, 澳洲既 national competition 既 champion, 仲係international competition 排第二, 至於我個設計呢, 暫時唔可以公開住既, 私底下講就ok, 不過個design 肯定好過佢地好多, 至於做唔做到呢, 一年後參賽既時候就會知道啦 :p

| 開完會之後, 間公司將個budget 提高到 aud$8000, 不過佢地個condition 係將我地原本諗住整 pianist 既 human movement robot arm 既idea 改做整一個係orchestra 入面既violinist, 我地個supervisor 又唔知幾時同間company 私底下講左話我自己都係一個violinist, 由於之前個會係網上開既關係, 佢地而家話想面對面見一見我聽我個plan 係點喎 =="
今日公司用左大半日同消防處& 警察做聯合演習, scenario 係有爆炸, 氣體泄漏, 有人被困, 由於呢個演習事前係保密既關係, 我今朝仲帶左隊人上爆炸發生現場, 爬左上40 幾米, 警鐘一響, 立即要帶氧氣筒, 佢d 演習都幾真, 真係不斷有煙噴出黎架!! check 左風向之後馬上返回地面, haha 不過由於心急走去最近既safe house, 行行下我選擇左lead 住team 人走捷徑, 連不知不覺行左去down wind 都唔知, 之後俾人話 :p 因為我要脅到成team 人既生命安全 haha *whoops 受困係safe house 2個幾鐘之後返返入自己間office, 個conference room 變左臨時指揮中心, 超型呀, 係室內set up 左個 satellite 既 wok, 勁多我都未見過既儀器係入面, d 人仲忙緊善後措施!! 最後仲俾我發現左d 警察查埋部便裝 TRD 黎....................... 我地d 納稅人既錢就係咁樣俾人用晒架啦~~
2008年12月12日等我完成埋 "住" 呢方面之後, 將會係我正正式式咁係 "衣食住行" 都獨立晒啦!! 不過我諗我好快就會好掛住佢地!! 其實我自己都唔知有冇信心可以挨到佢地返黎架 hahha 呢幾晚成日係度諗星期五開始我既生活會變成點................... 6點出門口返工, 4點放工, 返屋企之前順便買送, 返到屋企第一件事要淋晒花園d 花, 然之後煮飯, 食飯, 洗碗, 洗衫, 沖涼, 訓覺, 間唔中仲要吸塵, 洗車, 入油, 剪草.............. ummm 突然之間好有住家男人feel hahhaha | | |
